Here's some of our work:

Year 3 children have been learning about Australia and making some PowerPoint presentations to go with their work. Mrs Healey made her own web page for the children to use for their PowerPoint slides. Click the koala to go to their page.

Year 3 children at Rochedale State School made some great bonnets for Easter. Here's some of our photos.

Year 3 children at Rochedale State School did some marvellous projects about the Stars and planets and  to show the parents, a stargazing night was held in Year 3I and Year 3G's room and all the parents were invited to attend. Mr Ireland cooked some sausages and a feast was enjoyed by all as well as observing the stars from our oval. Click the star for our photos.

Year 3 children at Rochedale State School enjoyed their trip to the Daisy Hill Koala Sanctuary where they learnt all about koalas, their habits and habitat. Click the koala to see our photos.

As eggs are a significant symbol of Easter, Year 3I and 3/4G at Rochedale State School, participated in an integrated study examining this topic. Their unit covered the Key Learning Areas of Science, SOSE, Language, Maths, Art and Technology. Click the chicken to have a look at their work  and some photos of the chickens they adopted for a while..
The children from Year 3 have done some descriptions of an animal using a form in Microsoft Word to type up the information they found. Here's their work as a web page. Click on the cat to see their work. One of the children in Mrs Kopp's class wrote a beaut story about a frog who hated his lily pad. The story is extremely well written and has a great moral to the story. Can you work out what it is?  Click on the little garden gnome to read Rachel's story. Well done Rachel!!
Year 3 were privileged to have a visit from a travel buddy name VJ. VJ is a common wombat and next term he is travelling all the way to the United State of America!! Click on VJ's picture to read all about him!! We also have a game featuring VJ which is great fun. Click here for his game!

Year 3 studied Australia and read "letters from Felix" and then wrote their own books about a koala. They did a great job and learnt heaps in the process. Click on Cuddles the Koala to have a look at their new pages.

We had fun on the computers

For Education Week, the classes had heaps of activities. Year 1 and Year 3 had an Open Morning for the parents on Tuesday, 18 May, 1999. Click on the photo to have a look at our pictures.
