On Monday, 25 August, Year 1 children at Rochedale State School, celebrated Book Week. In the morning they had a dress up parade which their parents attended. Children dressed as pirates, mermaids, sailors and sea animals paraded on stage.

Various awards were presented by Mr Burton. Later, the students listened to stories and created a rainbow fish. In the afternoon, they had fun preparing pirate drinks, making boats using cheerios, drawing fish shapes on rambob bread and icing treasure chests. Here's some photos of some of our great costumes.
