Santa Quits

It was Christmas Eve, I was asleep(about),
When upon the roof came a shout
Followed by a crash, bang, thud.
I looked outside and saw someone in the mud.
He looked at me and moaned "Did I break any bones?"
I helped the stranger, but to my disbelief
It was Santa, Dirty, but relieved.
"I'm getting to old for this will you take my place?"
I said, "Yes." and You should have seen his face.
So every year at Christmas time
Santa relaxes and that ends this rhyme.

by Ryan Hamilton 6/7 R, Regents Park State School.

Christmas
I wonder what it would be like
To have Christmas by the sea,
To watch the waves roll in and
Eat turkey under the tree.

Instead of mistletoe,
We have bottle brush and gum.
Instead of snow ploughed fields
We have lazy days in the sun.

Christmas in Australia
I wonder how it would be
Instead of building snowman's
We'll have sand castles as high as can be.

I really enjoy Christmas
To share family, fun and friends
Those warm summer nights
And memories that never end

Christmas is Australia
I wonder what it would be like
I can open my eyes in the morning
To a beautiful day and sunlight.

Christmas

Christmas is a time of joy for every girl and boy

Christians all around the world celebrate.
I hope Santa won't be late.

Santa is God's helper and he is a ho ho man.
He travels on Christmas Eve with his master plan.

With magic and reindeers he manages to fly across the sky.

With presents in his sack packed by the elves
He hopes we all behave ourselves

For he is going to give out gifts to all the people who believe in him,
I hope your Christmas stockings are filled to the brim.

Remember to believe in Christmas and giving to one another.
Share among each other.
