| Mrs Kopp and the children of 3K have shared the wonderful children’s story book ‘Charlotte’s Web’ this term. Below are some of the children’s very persuasive book reviews. Great writing 3K! | |
|
‘Charlottes Web’ is a great story to read. It’s a friendship story. It has courage and love. It made us cry and laugh. It ran through our brains like we will never forget. My favourite part was when Templeton ate all the food at the county fair and was really fat. If you haven’t read ‘Charlotte’s Web’ you should. It is serious when Wilbur nearly died and got sold. He nearly died twice and nearly got sold but Fern took care of him and she saved Wilbur’s life twice. By Nathan M. ‘Charlotte’s Web’ was our first class chapter book. We loved it. It made us laugh and cry. It made us sad and happy. It was so interesting for me. Charlotte’s web was written by E. B. White. Charlotte’s Web was a web of friendship. … By Rashwin When we read ‘Charlotte’s Web’ I loved it because a pig and a spider had a very special friendship. The spider saved the pig’s life. There was a rat that did jobs for the spider. There was a little girl who cared and loved the very special pig. This is a very special story. I love ‘Charlotte’s Web’. By Jordyn S. |
By Riley S. I liked ‘Charlotte’s Web’ because it made me sad and happy. My favourite part is when they go to the fair. I liked ‘Charlotte’s Web’. I liked the friendship in the book. In the end Charlotte died. It made me sad. When Wilbur first went to the barn he felt sad. He had no friends. Then a spider said, “I will be your friend.” By Stephen J. I liked ‘Charlotte’s Web’. It was a great book. I liked the county fair because Templeton ate heaps of food. I also liked the friendship in the book. By Max |

| This is a recount by Kasey Lee from 2D which she wrote about her class’s excursion. | |

TRANSPORT EXCURSION On Thursday the 3rd of August 2C and 2D were going on a transport excursion. Ms Duncanson took me,
Ashleigh, Harry and Max in her car and she drove us to Eight Mile Plains
busway. The bus came to pick us up. The bus took us to Buranda busway. We
walked to Buranda train station. The train took us to Southbank train
station. We walked over to a park to have morning tea. Olivia’s dad made
duck noises. He was funny. After that we went to the Maritime Museum. We saw
lots of things, my favourite was the Diamantina. After that we went on a
ferry. The ferry was fun. After that we had lunch. I got a toy. It can run.
Its name is Mew. Then we went to the transport museum. It was cool. Then we
went to Southbank busway. The bus took us to Eight Mile Plains busway.
Jayme’s dad took me back to school. |
This is the train we went on. |

| Here is a five minute story by Alex G. from 4H. | |
The WOODEN AEROPLANEOne day there lived a wooden aeroplane named Alex. He flew everywhere. He went to Hawaii, America and many other places. The wooden aeroplane never ran out of petrol and never crashed. One night the wooden
aeroplane was out flying. It was very dark. The wooden plane, Alex was
thinking and then he started to shake. He thought what’s going on. I never
shake. Alex couldn’t control it and he started to drop. Alex was yelling,
“HELP! HELP! HELP!” Alex was crying and crying. He said, “I can’t believe
I’m going to crash. I never crash.” |
Congratulations Alex. Your delightful story about Alex, the wooden aeroplane, would make a great picture story book for young children. |
