On Tuesday, 27 May, 2008, Rochedale State School remembered the Referendum held in 1967 which gave the Aboriginal people of Australia the same rights as all other citizens. The Council of Aboriginal Affairs was also set up following this Referendum.

Uncle Paddy and Aunty Peggy, two prominent Logan Elders, visited our school to commemorate this occasion and planted some trees at the front of our school. They also presented our School Captains with a poster and some ceremonial earth. Here are some photos.
