On Friday, 16 November, Year 1 children from Rochedale State School visited the Science Centre in Brisbane for a close up look at how things work scientifically. They really enjoyed all the "hands-on" displays and had a great learning experience at the Center. Here's some of our photos:
Ready to go on the big excursion. Thanks to the Mums & Ben. Our hearts at work.
Pumping Oz & Coz. Our Sumo wrestler.
Time for a morning tea break. Yummy food!!
Trying to attach magnets was harder than it looked. Making shapes.
A little help from Mum was needed. How does this work?
This looks interesting too. This writes all by itself.
C'mon, smile for the camera!! Let us in!!
What's this? I love the Science Centre.

Where's my body gone?

Try to read the colour of the ink.

I've put on a bit of weight!

This makes you so dizzy! Look at the coloured shadows.
Making electricity. The rotating chair was a huge hit.

Everyone wanted to have a go. What great fun it was!
The balls make a chain reaction. Now what's this we have here?

It's mine!!

Pull your own weight!

I can blow bubbles!

Push to make bubbles. This was our favourite!
We just about filled the Science Centre. Spinning around and around.......
