Our teachers this year are Mrs Katrina Johnson, Mrs Kaylene Mulcahy,  Mrs Gail Underwood, Mr David Jeffrey and Mrs Joanne Broadbent.  We'll bring you some of our photos and work throughout this year too. You can write to us at:

Prep U (Mrs Gail Underwood)

Here's some of the things we do in Prep in 2009.

Easter Bonnet Parade: On Wednesday, 8 April, 2009, the Prep classes at Rochedale State School held an Easter Bonnet Parade. Parents were invited and were entertained with an Easter song from each class and some wonderful bonnets being worn by the children. Click here to look at some photos.

The 2009 Preps had a great start and were all ready to begin their exciting journey through school. Here are some photos of their first day:

Here's some of the things we did in 2008.

The 2008 Preps had a great start (except for the Rain!!)  They all enjoyed their first week but were exhausted by the end of the week.  Prep J had an exciting week discovering why Humpty Dumpty was sitting on the wall!  Was he having a rest or was he trying to climb the wall!  We had children asking "Was Humpty doing the wrong thing by sitting on the wall?"  The children came up with some very clever answers.

At the end of the week the children had to bring a raw egg wrapped in something that would help the egg survive a fall.  We pretended the eggs were Humpty and they all fell off the wall.  After 23 eggs fell off the wall - only two survived!!  The children were excited to see which ones survived and why they survived!  What a great week to start. Here are some photos:

For Mothers' Day in 2008, Prep J held a special Mothers' night where the mums were treated to a night of pampering and nail polishing. Click here for some pictures. On Wednesday, 21st May, 2008, our Prep classes took part in reading the story "Arthur" by Amanda Graham. Click here for some pictures.
