In
2000, we fielded both Junior and Senior Netball Teams in the district
Netball Competition. Both teams were victorious in the finals, winning
their games in both grades.
SENIOR A TEAM: Our Senior A Netball team won their grand final on Friday against St Catherines. The girls won the game 23-12. The team, captained by Anita , combined well and displayed a high standard of play. The team comprised Melanie, Anita , Jasmin , Ashleigh, Brighid, Cathy , Erin, Sam, Taila and Chloe. Player of the match was Ashleigh who worked tirelessly in defence for the entire game. |
JUNIOR A TEAM: The Junior A Netball team put in an outstanding effort at the Grand final. They won against MacGregor A 25- 7. The team which has been undefeated all season consists of Carleigh, Jodie, Tomika, Tui, Emma, Katherine, Erin, Amy, Stacey and Danielle. The girls are congratulated on their efforts throughout the season..
SENIOR A TEAM:
After winning the finals last week, four of our girls, Ashleigh, Erin, Jasmin
and Melanie attended the Metropolitan East Netball Carnival. The Metropolitan
East team reached the finals, but lost 20-19 in an exciting game against
Bayside.
Two of our girls, Ashleigh and Melanie were chosen in the Metropolitan East team to play in the State Carnival in Roma on the 31 July. Jasmin was named as a Shadow Player with the Metropolitan East team as well. Congratulations girls, well done.
