Billy Bilby was very happy because he found a friend. One night when he was out looking for food, he met a little brown python crawling along in the desert.

He said to the python, "What’s your name?"

The python said, " My name is Sam."

"Would you like to be my friend, Sam?" said Billy. "My name is Billy."

"Yes," said Sam, "I will be your friend and I will play with you."

So they played together next to some rocks all night long. When the sun came up, they went back to their mothers and had a good day’s sleep like all good bilbies and pythons do!!!
