actual bunch of online Pirate Lovers. And to think that all
this time I thought I was the only one on Earth who appreciated
Pirates for what they are! Anyway, I'm Richard Washington,

my life was changed forever by one very ferocious comedy/adventure
movie: "Roman Polanski's Pirates," being the adventures of
Captain Thomas Bartholomew Red --- starring Walter Matthau as the
Big Red One. This delightful adventure from 1986, the result
of the combined talents of artists from seven nations, was and
remains an underappreciated epic. When it flopped in the U.S.
boxoffice in July 1986, I swore (slightly non-)bloody vengeance;
and devoted myself to creating an entertainment company whose
every thought and deed would be performed in the spirit of that
ferociously immortal Blackbeard --- the Most Dangerous Pirate
on Earth. That company is Electric Pirates Entertainment. Our
mission: to bring back the joy of creativity and imagination to
the entertainment industry. And it's a very good thing Blackbeard
is on our side, too, because he happens to be my alter ego. On
