Comments:  A few years ago I purchased a Rose Tarantula from a pet shop. I put it in a 5 gal. Aquarium with a screen top on it. I watch it with fascination day in a day out. It surprised me by moulting it skin. I never knew they did that til then. I ended up giving the aquarium and spider to a worker at Petsmart since that was his specialty and I had to give it up at that time. I am still very interested in spiders and observe them as often as I can in their natural settings.

The other day I had to write a report about aromatics, which is the study of how people react to certain smells. The instructions were  to pick five different types of smells. I picked grass, orange, soap, snow, and a f--t. This is very serious. Ok, when i was  writing about the f--t i needed some different words to use instead of f--t so it would be more interesting, so i used a barking spider. Anyways i let one of my friends read my report and she said she have never heard of a barking spider before and thought it was stupid and i was a liar. If you don't know what it is it is a f--t So back to the point I started to ask people if they knew what it was. So i asked this one guy and he said that a barking spider was a real spider. But i said it wasn't so basically what i am asking you is if barking spiders are real.

Comments:  Great website! Glad to see kids doing so well in the biological sciences. One comment. On your picture page there was a comment about a spider and a wasp. The girl said the spider appeared paralyzed. There is a species of wasp that paralyzes spiders, then lays it's eggs in the spider. When the egg hatches, the wasp larvae feed on the spider. Cruel, but it is the cycle of nature. Have fun kids and keep up the great work!
