In June and July this year, Rochedale students had the pleasure of having a young French university student participate in their French lessons. Clément from Rouen in France shared lots of stories about the cuisine and culture of his native Normandy, made the Grade 6 children French crêpes for their end of unit celebrations, and joined Madame Pearson in preparing a French breakfast for the Year 6 and 7 students as part of their International Food Unit.

Josh présente une boîte de beurre d’arachide à Clement au petit-déjeuner à l’école.  Clement adore le beurre d’arachide et c’est difficile à trouver en France!

To complete their study about Food in France, Grade 7 students enjoyed a beautiful meal at a French restaurant.  To prepare for that special event, we were fortunate to have the expertise of a parent come and speak to the students about table etiquette.
