On the Tuesday before Easter, all of the Year 6 classes participated in a French parade. The fashions were not haute couture, but all the commentaries were prepared by the mannequins in French. Disco music was played over the speaker system in the hall as each model pranced, danced, skated or skipped on to the stage. As the commentary was read, most models indicated each item of apparel as it was described, showing that they understood the French and assisting the audience to understand.

As the students finished, they took a turn at being the commentator. Highlights of the parade were Mark F’s on-stage vigour, Shane’s scout uniform, Jasmine’s elegance and Martha’s lovely accent. These students scored top marks for their oral work: Amy P., Megan, Rachel McM., Ashleigh T. Martha, Alexander N., Rachel I. and Melissa. The parade was greatly assisted by Jared D and Mitchell C on the sound system, and Mesdames Griffin and Daly who were our photographers. Un grand merci
