 Throughout
the term of Year 3I and Year 3/4G's Chicken Project, the classes
had an incubator and chicken pen for newly hatched chicks. The
children kept a Diary of events that occurred during the time
the chickens were with them and took photos of their progress.

Day 1: Today The
Henny Penny Hatching Program delivered the incubator and
brooding area to our classroom! We received 16 eggs in the
incubator and 3 newly hatched chicks for the brooding area.
Although we were very
excited and wanted to hold the chicks, we first had to read
the rules and instructions about how to care
for them. |
