Children in Year 1 at Rochedale State School celebrated Book Week on Friday, 17 November, 2000, by dressing up as their favourite character from a book.

The costumes were just spectacular, obviously a great deal of effort from parents.

Here's the photos of our Book Week characters as they were presented on parade, and then later at a special display where the children told everyone who they were dressed as.

The children showed off their costumes to the rest of the school.

Did you recognise Pichachu in this line up??

Here's a ghostly character waiting his turn on stage. Batman also waited alongside this little green frog.

Then the children stood in a circle to tell their classmates show they were.

Here's some really great costumes.

And here's some more.

Charlie Chaplin was even there, along with our ghost and Ali Baba.

Getting in the mood for Christmas, although the cowboy looks a bit sad!!

Maybe the court jester can cheer him up!! Watch out - Aliens!!

A stunning red head, a pirate and our book character. Well done Year 1's and of course, parents!!
